    PPD Calculation Empty PPD Calculation

Post by ProCycon Wed Oct 13, 2010 4:09 am

    I use the FAH GPU Tracker V2 Version 3.24 on Windows7 x64.

It seems, that the tracker have a little problem with the timeformat from the system.
The text-window of the tracker is filled up with error messages. PPD Calculation Trackerw

The content of the logfile is:

    Code:
[10:57:56] System.InvalidCastException: Ungültige Konvertierung von der Zeichenfolge 10/13/2010 08:55:55 AM in Typ Date.
      bei Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToDate(String Value)
      bei FAH_GPU_Tracker_V2.frmMain.GetTPFFromLog(String LogText)
    [10:57:56]
    [08:11:23] Completed 20000 out of 2000000 steps  (1%)
    [08:20:18] Completed 40000 out of 2000000 steps  (2%)
    [08:29:06] Completed 60000 out of 2000000 steps  (3%)
    [08:37:59] Completed 80000 out of 2000000 steps  (4%)

[10:58:16] System.InvalidCastException: Ungültige Konvertierung von der Zeichenfolge 10/13/2010 08:55:55 AM in Typ Date.
      bei Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToDate(String Value)
      bei FAH_GPU_Tracker_V2.frmMain.GetTPFFromLog(String LogText)
    [10:58:16]
    [08:11:23] Completed 20000 out of 2000000 steps  (1%)
    [08:20:18] Completed 40000 out of 2000000 steps  (2%)
    [08:29:06] Completed 60000 out of 2000000 steps  (3%)
    [08:37:59] Completed 80000 out of 2000000 steps  (4%)

And the count of the total PPD (see in screenshot) shows only the first 2 bits of the real total PPD.

This appears every time I start the tracker and start folding. No matter which client I use. SMP or GPU0

Please post FAHlog.txt from one of the affected clients. Your screenshots are of limited use since the error isn't showing up in English.

The FAHlog.txt from my clients aren't showing any errors. They look fine as usual.

The errors only appear in the LOG.txt from the tracker main-folder.
And in the LOG.txt they did not appear in English too. A short passage of the LOG.txt I've already posted.
Is there anything else I could look up?

I need the actual FAHlog.txt so I can reproduce the problem. I know what function is causing the problem, but not what line. If I can test it on the same FAHlog.txt I should get the same error, and I will also be able to figure out exactly what is causing it.

I think I figured this out. It has to do with your settings for how dates are shown. I have modified the code so that regional or language settings should no longer have any affect on the TPF calculations.

Try this version and see if you still have the problem:
    <link removed, use version 3.25 instead>

Replace the original .exe with the one in that archive and let me know if fixes the problem.

Thanks. With this *.exe the errors are gone.

Only the total-count of the PPD is showing only the first two digits of the number, that should appear there.

Ah, I think I know what is causing this. Give me a few minutes and I'll get you another .exe that should fix this.

Good to hear, I will do a full release (3.25) with these fixes later today. I just wanted to confirm that it worked.

    Version 3.25 has been released.

If anyone else is having this problem please update to 3.25 instead of using the test builds.
