Problem with Windows XP Empty Problem with Windows XP

Post by RamRod Fri Oct 29, 2010 7:16 am

Hi, I just started using this great program yesterday and it works very well, except one problem.

I have 4 machines, one Win 7 and 3 XP

The win 7 machine is fine but all three of the XP machines refuse to shut down when the Tracker is running. I tried just stopping the clients but that didn't work. I have to manually shut down the Tracker program to get these machines to shut down. The computers themselves range from a P4 with no GPU client to a Core2Duo running dual 8800 GT clients to a Phenom X2 with a GTX 260. The P4 and Phenom are running regular CPU and the Core 2 is running SMP. With machines this diverse I have to believe the issue is with the program and not the machines themselves unless it is a Windows problem. Here is the log file from the Core 2 system. I can post the others later tonight if need be.

I will check if there is an easy way to fix this, but I don't have any computers that still run XP to test this on.

Thanks for looking into it. I would be willing to try out potential fixes you come up with...either on my 3 XP systems, or in an XP virtual machine on this system.

I have the same problem. I have to shut down tracker before shutting down or restarting in XP.

There is no easy way to correct this problem that I know of.
