-advmethods and GPU priority Empty -advmethods and GPU priority

Post by Exnihilo Mundus Wed May 04, 2011 1:00 pm

First, let me say that this is a great program. It makes setup so much easier.

I do have a couple of questions.
    1. Should I check the -advmethods box for the GPU to increase my PPD (I have a GTX 460)?
    2. Is there a way to bump up the priority on the gpu client? Stanford recommends this when running a GPU and an SMP client together (which I am).

    Thanks.

I unchecked the -advmethods and found that the ppd was exactly the same. I don't think you need to mess with the priority. I have tested it and couldn't get any noticeable increases.
