Idea: have the GPU client pause for a set amount of time after each WU finishes. the amount of time could be adjustable, from none to 1 hr, for example. This would let a GPU, for example have some "cool down" time from 24/7 folding, and hopefully increase it's lifespan.

Re: Pause after WU complete
I thought the Heat control already did what your asking.
You could just setup scheduled task to run at a certain time and when that happens have the executable set in Games.txt
If you could find some program that runs and stops plus kills itself at a certain time than you would have what your asking without any need for change of the Tracker.

Why not just use Heat Control? If you simply have the GPU pause between WUs that will probably shorten the lifespan due to the hot/cold periods. From this standpoint the lower constant temp that results from Heat Control is the best way to increase the life of a card.
Example:
- Say your GPU runs 90 C at 100% load and 50 C at idle.
- At 75% load, it runs at 76 C.
Which of the following sounds better?
1. Running the GPU at 100% load and pausing for a period of time equal to 1/3 of the completion time before starting the next WU (results in 90 C for a period, then 50 C for a period)
2. Running the GPU at 75% load and getting a constant 76 C temp. This would give the same PPD as the above.
This feature would be redundant since Heat Control already addresses this problem. As such, I don't plan to add it to the Tracker. If you absolutely need this functionality, you could use the above approach to have the Tracker pause all clients when some 3rd party program runs.
