    Feature Name: Nighttime/Daytime folding option
What does this feature do: Set clients to run only during a specified time of day/night.
Why would this feature be useful to be include in the tracker:
    1. To manage power consumption (some electric companies charge less during the night time, for example)
    2. Would allow an easy way to turn folding off during working hours.
    3. Would offer an additional way to combat the heat.

I've requested this feature before on the EVGA forums, so it may already be on Jedi95's private to-do list.

Thats a very good idea. Power consumption is a major worry by many members of our folding team. And many just like myself have a time of use charge where we get charged more for electric rates during on peak times, and receive discounts for using during the off peak times.

Now this feature wouldnt benefit myself being that I run 24/7, but this could be one attractive feature to many users.

This could be done without too much work. Most of the time spent would be setting up the GUI to configure the feature. Code-wise the Tracker already has most of what would be needed. The clients would pause during the specified times the same way as pausing for games.

This is something I will definitely add at some point.

This is my current to-do list:

    1. Fix -beta and -debug flags getting removed after an update. (the updater won't start it with the correct flags) I already know exactly how to fix this and it will be out in the next update.

    2. Replace the container programs with a better method of safely stopping hidden clients. This will reduce the size and complexity of the Tracker. It will also fix the problems this causes under Windows XP. I have no ETA on this because my friend is the one writing the code for this.

    3. Adding this feature of course. This should be out in one of the 2.8x beta versions.

    4. More multithreading. Better performance is always helpful. Ever since I figured out the problem with the early 2.7x betas I have been moving certain functions into new threads.

    5. Make something to automate publishing updates. This is mostly for my use but it will save me time setting up everything.

    6. Create a proper installer for the Tracker. This is a long-term goal and I have no idea when I will do this.

    7. Replace the SMP client with the non-MPI version as soon as it becomes available. This removes the need to run install.bat manually to setup the SMP client.

I have a variation. Can you set an smp client to run in -oneunit mode, but start at a certain time (such as 8 pm) if it finishes.
